🎶 Glen MacNeil
Glen MacNeil is a seasoned acoustic singer-songwriter whose music is deeply steeped in Cape Breton Celtic traditions, with threads of country and folk woven throughout. He calls Glencoe Station (Inverness County), Nova Scotia home.
He traces his passion for music back to childhood “kitchen parties” by the salt air—growing up in a house where his father Gerry MacNeil, a respected guitarist, played alongside legendary Cape Breton fiddlers. This upbringing sparked his journey into music and fueled a lifelong devotion to songwriting.
Glen’s debut CD, Where the Heart Remains, blends heartfelt storytelling with traditional fiddle and country flavors. It features personal and tribute-driven songs—from family memories to Island life—like “The Hero,” dedicated to his father, and So Much Love, a beautiful track honoring his grandmother.
Glen continues to nurture his connection to Cape Breton through evocative acoustic performances and community-centered storytelling through song.
