Raised in Whycocomagh, Stephanie MacDonald has been playing fiddle and step dancing since the age of five. She performs regularly at square dances, concerts and ceilidhs and is a longtime member of the Cape Breton Fiddlers’ Association.

Susan MacLean, originally from Washabuck, is a pianist, fiddler, composer and educator. She has taught Cape Breton style piano accompaniment since the mid 1990s and has spent decades performing and sharing the island’s traditional music.

Together, Stephanie and Susan bring a strong fiddle and piano pairing to Saturday night at the Shoe.
