ANDREA BEATON & TROY MACGILLIVRAY BRING TWO DEEPLY ROOTED NOVA SCOTIA MUSICAL TRADITIONS TO FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE RED SHOE.

Mabou native Andrea Beaton comes from the renowned Beaton and MacMaster musical families. An award winning fiddler, composer and recording artist, she is known for her powerful bow and driving style and has carried Cape Breton music to audiences and students internationally.

Troy MacGillivray, from Lanark, Nova Scotia, grew up in a family steeped in Scottish heritage and Gaelic tradition. An accomplished fiddler, pianist and step dancer, Troy has performed and taught around the world during a career spanning more than three decades.

Andrea and Troy have a long musical history together, including their recording Face the Music.
