Donna Marie DeWolfe, from River Tillard, has been playing Cape Breton fiddle music since she was ten and comes from musicians on both sides of her family. An active part of Cape Breton’s traditional music scene, she regularly plays for ceilidhs and dances across the island and mainland Nova Scotia.

Chéticamp’s Joël Chiasson is a veteran Cape Breton piano player and step dancer. Over more than three decades he has accompanied artists including Natalie MacMaster, Ashley MacIsaac, Buddy MacMaster, Mary Jane Lamond and Andrea Beaton. Celtic Colours specifically pairs Joël with Donna Marie, describing his Acadian roots in Chéticamp alongside her Cape Breton fiddle tradition.
