SHELLY CAMPBELL & ALLAN DEWAR BRING CAPE BRETON FIDDLE AND PIANO TO SUNDAY MATINÉE AT THE RED SHOE PUB.
Raised in West Bay Road, Inverness County, Shelly Campbell has spent more than three decades playing traditional Cape Breton music. Her fiddle playing is known for its lively, powerful style, shaped by musicians including Stephanie Wills, Theresa MacLellan, Gertie Coffin and Alex Francis MacKay. Shelly has performed and taught throughout Cape Breton and internationally.
Allan Dewar grew up in a musical family in Ohio, Nova Scotia, and has become one of Cape Breton’s respected traditional piano accompanists. He has performed around the world alongside many of the island’s fiddlers, while remaining closely connected to the dances, ceilidhs and traditional music of Cape Breton.
