Born and raised on West Bay Road in Inverness County, Shelly Campbell has spent decades playing traditional Cape Breton music. Her powerful and lively style was shaped by the musicians she grew up hearing, including Stephanie Wills, Theresa MacLellan, Gertie Coffin and Alex Francis MacKay. Shelly has performed and taught throughout the Maritimes as well as in Ontario, Ireland, Scotland and Denmark.

Allan Dewar comes from a musical family in Ohio, Nova Scotia and began playing traditional music at an early age. Over his career he has performed internationally with many of Cape Breton's finest musicians while remaining closely connected to the dances and ceilidhs at the heart of the tradition.

Together, Shelly and Allan are a formidable Cape Breton pairing, bringing the unmistakable lift and energy of the island's traditional music to Sunday afternoon in Mabou.
