Kyle MacDonald has spent years carrying Cape Breton’s Gaelic ceilidh traditions through communities around the island. A member of the Cape Breton Fiddlers’ Association, he is a familiar musician at the Red Shoe, Celtic Music Interpretive Centre, KitchenFest and traditional dances and ceilidhs throughout Cape Breton.

Jason Roach, from Chéticamp, is an accomplished Cape Breton pianist and longtime member of Còig, where his powerful accompaniment is an important part of the group’s traditional sound.

Kyle and Jason also work together musically, with Kyle recording new material alongside Jason and guitarist James MacLean.
