STEPHANIE MACDONALD & SUSAN MACLEAN BRING TWO DEEPLY ROOTED CAPE BRETON MUSICAL TRADITIONS TO SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE RED SHOE.

Raised in Whycocomagh, Inverness County, Stephanie MacDonald grew up surrounded by Cape Breton music and step dancing. She has performed throughout the island at dances, ceilidhs, concerts and community events and has longstanding connections to the Cape Breton Fiddlers’ Association.

Originally from Washabuck, Susan MacLean is a respected performer, composer and educator with decades of experience in Cape Breton’s traditional music community. She has accompanied many of the island’s musicians and has taught Cape Breton-style piano accompaniment at Colaisde na Gàidhlig | The Gaelic College.
