THREE YOUNG LOCAL MUSICIANS BRING A LIVELY EVENING OF CAPE BRETON MUSIC TO SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE RED SHOE.

From Mabou Harbour, Taya MacDonald is a multi-instrumentalist and step dancer who grew up immersed in Cape Breton music and Gaelic culture. Playing fiddle, piano, guitar, mandolin and accordion, Taya has developed her music through community ceilidhs, mentorship programs and performances across Cape Breton.

From Judique, Finley MacDougall is a young guitarist with deep musical roots. The son of musicians Lisa Cameron and Vern MacDougall, Finley grew up surrounded by Cape Breton music and is becoming a familiar face on local stages.

Mabou-raised Donald Gillis brings piano to the trio. With strong family musical roots and training through the Gaelic College, Donald has performed at community events and festivals throughout Cape Breton.
