Whether you're a local or just passing through Mabou, this is a session you won't want to miss.
🎻 Taya MacDonald, a multi-instrumentalist and step dancer from Mabou Harbour, is already making waves in the Cape Breton music scene. A veteran of Celtic Colours and a participant in Gaelic mentorship programs like Na Gaisgich Òga, she brings youthful energy and deep-rooted tradition to every stage she plays.
🎹 Donald Gillis, raised in Mabou with strong musical lineage, honed his piano chops through the Gaelic College and carries forward the family sound with grace and groove. With performances from Margaree to KitchenFest, Donald adds rhythm, warmth, and a touch of legacy to the group.
🎻 Finley MacDougall, hailing from Judique is a talented young guitarist with deep Cape Breton roots, and performs with the ease and confidence of someone twice his age. Son of musicians Lisa Cameron and Vern MacDougall, he’s grown up on Cape Breton stages, from the Farmers' Market to Canada Day pop-ups.
Together, these three bring a spark to the Red Shoe stage, fresh, fun, and full of Cape Breton heart.
