Stephanie MacDonald, a lifelong fiddler and step dancer, has been a key figure in the Cape Breton Fiddlers' Association and a familiar presence at square dances, community events, ceilidhs, and weddings .

Susan MacLean hails from Washabuck and grew up immersed in the island’s musical heritage; she credits much of her inspiration to her fiddler grandfather, Michael Anthony MacLean, and brings decades of performance and piano accompaniment and over 30 years of teaching at the Gaelic College, to every tune.
