Suppertime Music with Koryne MacDonald & Iain MacQuarrie | No Cover

Start your week with two familiar names who’ve quietly become part of the musical fabric of this island.

Koryne MacDonald, now living in Colindale, is a fiddler shaped by family, tradition, and the Cape Breton landscape. Though she grew up in Ontario, her roots run deep in Washabuck, and her playing reflects that—warm, steady, and full of heart. Koryne plays regularly at ceilidhs, community events, and sessions around the island. She’s a quiet force in the local scene, with a style that honours the tunes and the people who passed them down.

Iain MacQuarrie, from Inverness County, is quietly making a name for himself on piano, and fiddle too. He started as a step dancer and spent many summers around the Gaelic College, where his mother, Cheryl, taught dance. Now an instructor himself, Iain brings a love for Scottish tunes and a tireless work ethic to the stage.
